2019 ICORS Call for Abstracts is OPEN!


Abstract submissions to the 2019 ICORS Meeting are being accepted until October 14, 2018. We encourage all ICORS and CORS members to submit their research for podium and poster presentation.


The 2nd International Combined Meeting of Orthopaedic Research Societies (ICORS), and the Canadian Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting will be held at the Palais des Congrès, in Montréal, Québec, Canada from June 19-22, 2019.


Topic suggestions for Instructional Course Lectures (ICLs) are being accepted until October 14, 2018.  Submit the following ICL details to meetings@canorth.org for consideration by the Program Committee.  Each submission will be reviewed by the respective subspecialty chair on the CPD Committee.  Submit the following by email to meetings@canorth.org by October 14, 2018.

Notable Dates

  • Deadline for finalized submissions:  October 14, 2018, 23:59 EDT
  • Deadline for author disclosures (This MUST be completed at the time of submission, or your submission will not be considered complete): October 14, 2018, 23:59 EDT
  • Notifications will be sent out: December 2018.
  • Deadline for author or presenter changes: March 1, 2019.

Submission Guidelines

Submission Guidelines:

  • Submission requires full names and valid email addresses for all authors. All abstracts require a presenting author.
  • Maximum word count of 500 for all content sections combined (Purpose, Method, Results and Conclusion.)
  • Accepted abstracts will be printed in the program in the format entered, therefore capitalize appropriate words. Use capitals for proper names, titles, geographical names, trade names. NO CAPS LOCK.
  • Numbers should be set out as follows:
    1. One to nine in words, with larger numbers printed numerically (eg. 10, 52, 120).
    2. Use the percentage sign eg. 20%
    (not ‘percent’ in words, unless the number is also written in full at the beginning of a sentence).
    3. When a sentence begins with a number, write it out in full (e.g. ‘Eighty-five percent’).

  • Submission deadline: October 14, 2018, 23:59 EDT


  • Submissions will be blindly reviewed by members of the ICORS/CORS and COA Program Committees.
  • Acceptance notifications will be sent to the submitter in December of 2018, including further instructions regarding author and abstract title edits.
  • Submitters are responsible for communicating with presenter and all co-authors.
  • If your abstract is accepted, the presenting author will attend the meeting or find a replacement presenter and notify ICORS/CORS and COA planners accordingly.

Registration and Fees

  • Registration will open in the New Year.
  • The presenting author of the accepted abstract is required to register and pay the required registration fees in full.
